The GOP needs to pay attention

There’s no doubt that Trump’s legacy has left a major mark on the Republican Party. But if the GOP doesn’t pay attention to what’s happening to middle-class Americans, they’ll end up with a fractured party.

And that’s the point Lou Dobbs made in his recent interview with Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH). Dobbs warned Jordan that “those 74 million Americans, if they continue to be insulted by the leadership of both political parties, they are going to say, ‘The hell with you.’ And the Patriot Party will be born.”

Dobbs isn’t wrong. More American voters are finding themselves disillusioned with both Democrats and Republicans. Just look at the number of people who are now considered unaffiliated or independent voters?

If the GOP continues to remain tone-deaf toward the very people they claim to represent, they won’t last long if a split occurs. All it takes is the initial spark to set things off, and we are too far from that happening.

A duo of anonymous donors joined together to pay off nearly $100k in medical bills at a hospital in Pratt, Kansas.

Pratt Regional Medical Center said it was able to pay off bills for 430 families thanks to the two donors. “The majority came from one donor, but both of the gifts together were 95,000 dollars to help people in need here at Pratt Regional Medical Center,” said a hospital spokesperson.

Both donors’ identities remain anonymous, but plenty of families are forever thankful for their generous gift.
