McConnell Has Enough Votes To Block Witnesses
After meeting with moderate Republicans who were on the fence, McConnell now appears to have the votes to block a call for witnesses in the Senate impeachment trial.
McConnell was able to convince Senator Lisa Murkowski to vote against new witnesses. Murkowski initially hinted that she wanted to allow new testimony in Trump’s impeachment trial.
“We’re going to get it done by Friday, hopefully,” said Sen. Mike Rounds (R-S.D.)

Trump: “Game Over” After Video Shows Bolton Defending Ukraine Call
Trump triumphantly tweeted “game over” after linking to old video clips showing Bolton defending Trump policy on Ukraine and describing the president’s infamous phone call as “warm and cordial.”
The video directly contradicts Bolton’s latest claims about the Ukraine controversy.
Previous comments from Bolton have also resurfaced, where the former adviser stated that he would most likely lie if he thought it was in the best interest of the country.

People showed up in droves to Trump’s latest rally in NJ Tuesday night.
Despite freezing temps, plenty of people camped out to save a spot for the event.
Even more surprising, the Trump campaign revealed that nearly a quarter of the attendees were registered Democrats.
A significant number of first-time voters also turned out to see President Trump speak.

Incumbent Mayor Lincoln The Goat Faces Police K9 Challenger
No, you didn’t read that incorrectly. Lincoln the Goat, mayor of Fair Haven, Vermont, is being challenged by Sammy the Dog in an upcoming election.
Residents get to choose their next furry mayor on March 3rd. Lincoln barely won last year, with just three votes over his challenger.
It sounds like this year’s election is gearing up to be a close one as well!
