It looks like the Gavin Newsom recall is actually happening
So far, 1.18 million signatures from the Gavin Newsom recall petition have been verified. The minimum to trigger a recall election is just over 1.4 million. At this rate, the Newsom recall election is essentially guaranteed. Officials should have a final tally by the end of this month.
Newsom and his supporters have tried to label the recall effort as a Republican takeover of the state. But the majority of Californians rejected that claim, especially since many Democrats signed the recall petition.
As many critics of the Newsom administration have pointed out, the governor should try to understand why people want to recall him from office. But right now, the administration is totally tone-deaf.

Anonymous donor uses Dogecoin earnings to pay adoption fees at Daytona shelter
An anonymous donor who hit it big with Dogecoin decided to pay the adoption fees at an animal shelter in Daytona Beach, Florida.
The $1000 donation covered the fees for 21 dogs that are up for adoption. “A generous donor, Doge Community, has paid the adoption fees of all dogs in the adoption kennel at the time that were still available,” the shelter announced on Sunday.
