Poll: Viewers Unimpressed By Democratic Debate

A CBS poll reveals that viewers of this week’s Democratic debate in South Carolina were unimpressed with the performances of the candidates.

Of the 1,554 viewers surveyed, 69% said that the candidates spent too much time attacking one another instead of speaking about their own policies and ideas.

The debate also failed to inspire voters, with 47% of those surveyed saying that watching the debate made them more nervous about the primary process rather than more optimistic.

The poll also revealed that while voters recognize Sanders as the front runner, Biden only trailed by two percentage points.

On Saturday, South Carolina voters head to the polls for their primary where Biden holds a slight edge over Sanders.
