After nearly 150 years, Susan B Anthony will get a presidential pardon for the crime of trying to vote.
Anthony, the well known women’s suffrage advocate, was arrested and convicted for trying to vote during a time when only men were granted the right to participate in the electoral process.
Trump made his decision just as the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment rolls around. The amendment legally granted women the right to vote on August 18, 1920.
