The January 6th commission isn’t about the truth
Former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows says the House vote on Wednesday to create an independent commission to investigate the violent insurgency on January 6 at the United States Capitol is “all about political theater, they’re not really about finding the truth.”
The final vote was 252-175, with 35 Republicans breaking with the GOP to support the measure.
”I can tell you that most of what they will do is just make four- or five-minute speeches for television in hopes of continuing a false narrative,” added Meadows.
Meadows claims Democrats are only focusing on the January 6th issue in order to divert attention away from other crises confronting the Biden administration. The immigration crisis rages on without any end in sight. Inflation woes are hitting Wall Street, and tensions in the Middle East continue to rise.

How this off-duty hero saved Mother’s Day
A tale of heroism emerged from what could have been a horrific Mother’s Day.
Officer Anthony Giorgio of the Pensacola Police Department was off-duty and relaxing at Johnson Beach last Sunday when he heard calls for help.
Four children were trapped in a rip current. The kids were terrified as they were swept away by powerful waves.
Officer Giorgio dashed towards the water with another man, Coast Guard Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Reece Raxter.
According to PPD, Giorgio caught one of the kids, who was in and out of consciousness, and swam him to shore. He then went back into the water, grabbed another boy, and brought him to shore with the assistance of another man.
