The White House is desperately trying to keep Biden’s infrastructure bill alive
Joe Biden is doing everything he can to keep his infrastructure initiatives alive in Congress.
According to press secretary Jen Psaki, the White House presented Senate Republicans with a $1.7 trillion counterproposal to President Biden’s infrastructure bills on Friday. Biden’s first infrastructure proposal was estimated to cost about $2.3 trillion.
The counterproposal suits Republicans’ drive to limit broadband funding while moving closer to their figures for road and bridge investment costs.
“In our view, this is the act – the art, I should say, of seeking common ground,” said Psaki on Friday.
The counteroffer from the Biden administration comes after Senate Republicans introduced a $568 billion reduction to the infrastructure bill.
But no matter how many proposals the White House offers,it won’t change how Democrats are using the word “infrastructure” to include pet projects and programs that fit into their liberal agenda.

Kentucky tattoo artists cover hate-filled tattoos for free
Inspired by people battling for civil rights during the COVID-19 pandemic, a pair of tattoo artists from Kentucky wanted to help rid the world of hatred by offering free cover-ups for offensive tattoos.
“If you have a racist tattoo and you want it gone, [I’ll] cover it for free. No questions asked,” an Instagram post by Ryun King and his colleagues at Gallery X Art Collective read.
But King didn’t expect such a massive response from his post. “We had hundreds and hundreds of likes, hundreds and hundreds of shares,” he said.
Inquiries poured in from around the world, with countless people wanting to take him up on his offer.
“Our voicemail would be totally full almost every day from people reaching out from California to New York. I’ve had people from Ireland. I had a girl from South Africa. It was just very overwhelming,” said King.
King and his coworkers dedicate every Thursday to the effort.
