White House press secretary Jen Psaki denies Biden is putting kids in cages
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki is denying that the Biden administration is putting immigrant children in cages. But even Democrats are criticizing Biden for reopening the detention centers.
Both AOC and Ilhan Omar ripped Joe Biden for continuing the practice of detaining immigrant minors in detention centers, calling the practice inhumane and unacceptable.
“This is not okay, never has been okay, never will be okay – no matter the administration or party,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. Omar called the decision “callous” and noted that our current immigration system continues to fail all Americans.
“Multiple administrations have made the callous choice to lock up thousands of children seeking refuge in the United States of America,” tweeted Omar.
Immigration rights advocates have also slammed the Biden administration for its refusal to stop using detention centers.
The White House claims the facilities are needed due to a sudden influx of unaccompanied minors arriving at the border. Maybe because our government has failed to deal with this problem correctly? Both Democrats and Republicans can agree that this is all one giant mess.

Stranded delivery driver saved from brutal winter storm by Texas couple
A Texas couple provided shelter for a local delivery driver after she became stranded in their driveway during the brutal winter storm.
Chelsea Timmons said she was delivering groceries to the family in Austin when her car spun out of control in the driveway. She missed their home but ended up crashing her car into a tree stump. Timmons was unable to get her car back down the drive.
That’s when Nina Richardson and Doug Condon offered to let Timmons stay the night with them in a guest room. But one night ended up turning into nearly a week as the storm worsened.
