Republicans who voted to convict Donald Trump face major backlash at home
Another Trump impeachment trial, another acquittal. But for the handful of GOP senators that voted to convict Donald Trump, things back at home just became a lot more complicated.
Senators Burr and Toomey didn’t have anything to lose as they’ve already announced their retirements. But the other five GOP senators that voted alongside Democrats to convict Trump of incitement of an insurrection are already facing backlash in their home states.
Some of the state GOPs are already voting to censure the senators that turned their backs on Trump. The Louisiana GOP already took action against Cassidy, and Pennsylvania openly criticized Toomey.
While many of the GOP votes against Trump were expected, Burr’s was a total surprise for many. “North Carolina Republicans sent Senator Burr to the United States Senate to uphold the Constitution, and his vote today to convict in a trial that he declared unconstitutional is shocking and disappointing,” said NCGOP Chairman Michael Whatley in a statement.
Are we about to witness a complete reshaping of the Republican Party?

The best thing he found in his years on Wall Street was this obscure code
Recommended Link: During the two years that followed the 2008 crisis, America went through the worst recession since the Great Depression. And throughout that same two-year timeframe when most Americans struggled to regain their footing, trading expert Andrew Keene found a unique way to make millions… But how? It was when he began to look closely at a company’s stock price data that he discovered an obscure 18-digit “code.” (clicking will opt you into Profit Pregame’s free daily e-letter – Privacy Policy) This “code” let him see when the hedge funds and investment banks were making incredibly lucrative trades. Trades that wouldn’t make sense to the everyday American simply because the company wasn’t in the news. And at that moment, he wondered if he could continuously tag along with these mysterious trades – taking a slice of the profits along the way. So he tested it out… And it worked better than he could have ever dreamed. (clicking will opt you into Profit Pregame’s free daily e-letter – Privacy Policy) |

Man reunited with dog four months after Baltimore explosion
A Baltimore man was reunited with his beloved pet dog after nearly four months of separation.
Back in October, an explosion in the city left the man’s home in ruins, and he suffered life-threatening burns that left him hospitalized and in a coma for months.
The dog dad, who has not been identified, reportedly begged EMTs and doctors to save his dog and return him upon the owner’s recovery.
After months in a coma, the dog and its owner were finally reunited last week after the dog dad found a pet-friendly home in January.
