Unfortunately, it’s impossible to escape the “cancel culture” war that our society is caught up in right now. As one writer describes this way of being: “[It is] the deliberate de-platforming or ultimate unemployment of an individual for views fraudulently held to be outside an increasingly turbulent public square.”

It is how woke millennials feel a sense of power and control—by forbidding others from holding views outside of their own. They may preach inclusion, but they are the first to exclude anyone who dares to offer a dissenting opinion.

According to one writer, “The left has flipped the script on what moral standards warrant negative social consequences and put in place material outcomes for conservatives that ought to instead be implemented for legitimately immoral actions. Hence, the left seeks to transform what is socially permissible, and the right must make an attempt to re-align the culture to what they know already is.”

How one teacher keeps a student from missing his own graduation

It truly speaks to someone’s character when you describe a friend or loved one as the type of person to “give you the shirt off his back.”

But what about if that person was the type to give you the shoes off his feet? Because that is exactly what para-educator John Butler did when one of his students was being refused entry to his high-school graduation ceremony.

Daverius Peters was wearing a tasteful pair of black-topped sneakers, but was barred from entering the building, because apparently the shoes were in violation of the dress code.

When Butler found out what happened he attempted to convince the gate-keeper to let Peters inside.

“[I was] hoping that maybe if she saw me with him, she would let it go, but she insisted on not letting this young man in, and I didn’t have time to go back and forth with her,” the teacher said. “It was a no-brainer… This was the most important moment in his life up to that point, and I wasn’t going to let him miss it for anything.”

So, how did the teacher save the day?
