Controversy Over Lead Juror In Roger Stone Case
Concerns over the jury questionnaire filled out by the lead juror in the Roger Stone trial have been raised after new information about the political leanings of the juror surfaced.
During the juror selection process, Tomeka Hart wrote in her questionnaire that she was “not sure” if she ever posted online about the Russia controversy.
A search of Hart’s social media accounts by reporters, however, shows that the lead juror frequently posted anti-Trump statuses and commentary on the Russia investigation.
In one post, Hart claimed that all supporters of Trump were racist.
It was also revealed that Hart was once a Democratic candidate for Congress.
Stone and his legal team are using the new information to call for a retrial, arguing that Stone didn’t receive a fair trial because Hart shouldn’t have been chosen as a juror.
