Michigan GOP Wins Big in SCOTUS Case

Big win for Republicans this week, folks! The US Supreme Court slapped down a lower court’s ruling that would have given Democrats an advantage in Michigan elections.

The ruling shouldn’t be a surprise for those of you who have been following the gerrymandering issue. The Supreme Court has made it clear in a June ruling that voting maps are a political issue, not a legal one.

We should all be in favor of state courts dealing with voting issues, not the federal government. The decision is another victory for small-government conservatives who want the feds to have less say on how states manage their elections.

Staffers Support COS Mulvaney

After facing a tough week of constant criticism from the Left, Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney got some much-needed support from his fellow White House staffers.

You’ll remember how Mulvaney has worked hard to expertly handle the Ukraine kerfluffle with which the Main Stream Media is obsessed. After Mulvaney addressed his colleagues during a staff meeting, the room erupted with applause for the White House Chief of Staff. It certainly seems like he has the backing of the folks working at the White House.

Spin Control

The Left is Hypocritical On Syria

The Left has offered a near-endless negative spin on Trump’s withdrawal of American forces in Syria. Such an argument stands in direct contradiction with the liberal assertion that America needs to stop being the global police force.
.

How quickly Democrats have forgotten their own response to Obama’s decision to leave Iraq in 2011. Rep. Maxine Waters and Speaker Pelosi praised Obama’s decision to withdraw from Iraq, hoping that such a move would be a solemn reminder of the cost of war and would convince future politicians to reevaluate US foreign policy.

Now, both Waters and Pelosi have fiercely criticized Trump for abandoning the Kurds, arguing that such a move will cause an ISIS resurgence.

Bernie Sanders also made a similarly epic flip-flop, having agreed with Obama’s decision in 2011, yet criticizing Trump over the Syria withdrawal.

The spin and pure hypocrisy are mind-boggling, but not entirely surprising to those of us on the Right. Such rhetoric has been the Left’s go-to tactic when it comes to foreign policy and international relations.

Jackie Murphy, 80, and her cousin decided to submit an Ancestry DNA kit in an attempt to learn more about their family history.

Coincidentally Suzan Baekkelund, 76, who had been put up for adoption by her mother, also submitted a DNA test around the same time.

The two families eventually reached out to one another and decided to meet.
