New stimulus bill? Here’s what we know
Treasury Secretary Mnuchin and White House Chief of Staff Meadows are headed to Capitol Hill today for an important meeting with congressional leaders.
The two are huddling with Pelosi and Schumer to discuss the next steps of creating another economic stimulus bill in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
One of the main issues faced by congress in drafting a new stimulus bill is the colossal price tag, which many Republicans won’t support.
And President Trump is calling for a payroll tax cut that even many within his party are opposed to.
It seems that coming up with a bill that everyone agrees with will be a tall order. Can congress pull it off?
