Republicans to introduce a stimulus bill in the Senate
Senate Republicans plan to introduce a new coronavirus stimulus bill today.
Based on comments from Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, the bill will include another round of direct payments to Americans in an attempt to help restart the economy in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
President Trump wanted the bill to include a payroll tax cut, but the provision didn’t make it in the current version due to bipartisan opposition.
Will the Republican coronavirus stimulus bill pass muster with the Democrats? And will Trump sign it?
