Democratic infighting over Israel has reached a tipping point

In an early Thursday morning tweet, Rep. Ilhan Omar criticized “continuous harassment & silencing” from a section of House Democrats as tensions within the party over her alleged anti-Semitism erupted this week.

“Equating the United States and Israel to Hamas and the Taliban is as offensive as it is misguided,” complained some Democrats in a joint statement.

Of course, Omar responded by accusing her colleagues of islamophobia.

“The islamophobic tropes in this statement are offensive. The constant harassment & silencing from the signers of this letter is unbearable,” tweeted Omar.

Omar has caused trouble for the Democratic Party in the past, yet party leadership seems to give her a free pass.

Being valedictorian of a high school is a remarkable intellectual achievement, and Mike Wimmer recently achieved it at the age of 12.

But graduating high school wasn’t his only big achievement. In the same week, Wimmer graduated from college.

During the coronavirus outbreak, the North Carolina student stated he opted to boost his academic workload to stay busy.

“It was like, well, we’re sitting here doing nothing, right? So might as well take a few extra classes and get some stuff knocked out,” said Wimmer.

Wimmer also encouraged other children to pursue their aspirations, even if they encounter difficulties.

“When one door closes, there’s always another door, even a window you can crawl through,” Wimmer added.
