Some want more restrictions as Delta variant spreads
As the Delta subtype of the coronavirus spreads throughout the world and within the United States, some Americans are seeking to reinstate health precautions that were in place at the peak of the epidemic, such as mask use, even among those who have been vaccinated.
While some experts say concerns are overblown, others want fully vaccinated people to go back to wearing masks whenever they go out in crowds or are indoors.
For many experts, such a stance doesn’t line up with the science behind vaccines. It’s gotten to the point where many unvaccinated people don’t see any benefit of being vaccinated if you still have to wear a mask.
