According to a new book by Michael Bender, some staffers at the Republican National Convention refused to vote for Donald Trump in the 2020 election.

The claim highlights an apparent power struggle that raged behind the scenes of the GOP during the height of the presidential election. It was so bad that, at one point, Jared Kushner said, “I don’t give a f— about the future of the GOP.”

While the RNC worked hand-in-hand with the Trump administration early on, tensions rose at the peak of the 2020 presidential election.

What happened, and did it have an impact on the outcome of the election?
