Trump rejects Pentagon’s plan to cut healthcare
The president has rejected a proposal from the Pentagon to cut $2.2 billion from the military healthcare system.
Defense Secretary Esper’s cost-cutting review board issued the proposal as a way to save money without cutting into defense spending.
Military leaders widely criticized the proposal, arguing it would negatively impact millions of military personnel and their family members.
President Trump rejected the proposal almost immediately.
