Bernie’s Castro Comments Offend FL Democrats
Comrade Sanders has doubled down on his praise for Fidel Castro’s takeover of Cuba, despite many within his own camp rebuking him.
Many Democrats, especially in places with Cuban communities, have called on Sanders to apologize for his comments.
Some Democratic politicians with Cuban heritage openly rebuked Sanders for his pro-Castro remarks, arguing that they lived through Castro’s takeover and would never want to see the same thing happen in the US.
“Donald Trump wins Florida if Bernie is our nominee,” said state Rep. Javier Fernandez, a Democratic candidate in a majority-Hispanic state senate district.
Florida has a unique mix of Latino migrants and transplants, many who fled socialist nations. Sanders’ support of Castro is baffling to Latinos who know first-hand the destruction such political ideologies bring. Check out the rest of the story below:Read More
