How these Republicans are trying to give parents better school choices

While parents in the US are growing frustrated with close schools and teachers’ unions that refuse to return to work, a couple of Republican lawmakers are renewing their call to give parents better choices.

Senator Rand Paul reintroduced his SCHOOL (Support Children Having Open Opportunities for Learning) Act to give parents more flexibility in K-12 education for their children.

The decision to revive the bill comes as Republicans grow frustrated with the administration’s failure to reopen schools, despite repeated studies and comments from experts that schools are safe during the pandemic.

And in the House, a similar version of the bill was introduced by GOP Representative Chip Roy. “Parents should be in control of their child’s education, period, not politicians or union bosses,” said Roy during his announcement.

Oddly enough, keeping schools closed hurts demographics that Democrats claim they support. Low-income families and single parents have been hit particularly hard due to school closures. But liberals don’t want to give up yet another element of control in the pandemic.

Better than more stimulus money…

It seems like so many people are pinning their hopes on more stimulus money from the new administration. We’ll see what happens with that, but…

Personally, I don’t wait for stimulus deals.

I believe in taking charge of my own future.

I think you should take charge of YOUR own future too.

This “side job”  is something ANYONE can do with just $500 to start and potentially turn it into BIG paydays worth many times any amount of stimulus money the government can give you.

With this “side job” I show traders exactly how to access a little-known portal in their brokerage accounts to potentially amass a quick fortune.

A Miami janitor is quietly feeding thousands of hungry people

Every Friday night, long after everyone else in her house has gone to bed, Doramise Moreau can be found in the kitchen, cooking plate after plate of chicken, turkey, rice, and beans. She's been doing this since the pandemic began last spring and doesn't plan on stopping. Moreau, 60, cooks at least 1,000 meals every week for the hungry, delivering them to Miami's Notre Dame d'Haiti Catholic Church. Even as a child, Moreau wanted to make sure people were fed. ''She takes care of everybody from A to Z,'' Reginald Jean-Mary, Notre Dame d'Haiti's pastor, told reporters. ''She's a true servant. She goes above and beyond the scope of work to be a presence of hope and compassion for others.''
